Food was delicious. Okay in terms of price

Nice location with a nice view. In the almost empty restaurant you had to impose yourself on the waitresses to get a seat. Then a long wait for orders and food. I also like to wait for a good steak. For over 15 euros for actually only rump steak with a little salad, I expected more. It was ok. But meat quality, taste, salt and pepper would give a lot more. Presumably it regulates the tourist situation. Therefore at best 4 out of 5 stars.

Food and service very, very good. We would love to come back and recommend you to others. We price performance very fair and appropriate. We thank you for everything.

Really great and friendly service. The food, 1x spare ribs and 1x burger. Both first class. The ribs taste like fresh from the butcher :-)

Nice place, nicely presented food. It is questionable whether the criticism of the food will ever reach the kitchen. If I offer a Wagyu / Waygu or whatever, a burger, i.e. a burger with very high quality meat, then I have to choose the remaining ingredients carefully. Or I can put an Aldi meatball on the burger right away. In this case it was way too much gorgonzola. This could have given a kick in moderation. Unfortunately the burger was overloaded with it. The beef ribs tasted like roast (not bad, but I expected ribs with BBQ). Unfortunately, this and the fillet were cold. Well, I didn't think it was bad BUT I just expected more. And the waiters can laugh too. Don't let this review put you off, maybe we just had bad luck.

What a great evening. It was my birthday dinner and it was a very good evening. The food was great. I have rarely eaten such a great steak, whether rare, medium-rare or well done - all steaks were just right. My guests were very impressed. Not only the steaks, no, the entire 3-course menu was great. The hospitality from our waiter Mario was great. He made for a great ambience and an unforgettable evening. We were there in September 2020. Food was OK. Things that were "OFF" on the menu weren't told to us beforehand. People also wanted to order the same for the neighboring tables (x3 tables). And again and again the same answer the burger is over .. great. Instead of saying it right away. Since the service has sunk. We had what we thought was a burger, but it was stewed meat. We were then surrounded by waiters to clarify what we would have ordered. We then took it. The food was OK. The burger was very dry. I don't understand how such good reviews come about here. Probably shopped. We wouldn't go there again. The price-performance ratio alone was not right and for a burger or something to eat, there are good alternatives in the area.

The spare ribs were amazing. Tender, well seasoned. Side dishes also delicious. Adequate waiting time, we got drinks quickly. Service not only friendly, but also competent with questions. Nice facility with small, necessary repairs. Absolutely okay in terms of price for the quality.

I was there in mid-September with a small group. Even without a reservation, we got a table on the beautiful terrace. So I can't say anything about the interior of the restaurant. The service was friendly and quick, the food tasted great. From the meat to the sauce to the potatoes nothing to complain about. The price was okay for this area.

As part of our vacation at the Chiemsee, we visited the steakhouse. We were looked after in a very friendly manner by the waiter Mario. Both the steak and the salad with the local fish "Chiemsee-Renke" were very tasty.

Unfortunately, the quality of the meat leaves a lot to be desired. We ordered rump steak L with baked potatoes. One rump steak was half sloppy fat and tendon, the other was a tad better. The price was relatively high but would have been ok for tender meat. When complaining, the waiter noticed that he had served an XL steak and only gave in the difference to the L steak. We won't be guests there next time. Approaching looks different ...

We ate a super delicious fillet. It was very tender, cooked to the point and very flavorful. We recommend!! The icing on the cake was the chocolate soufflé as dessert. A dream! 🤩 The service staff was very nice and friendly. (In contrast to Schiller, where we were the day before.) So many greetings to Mario and his colleagues.

Overall ok. The waiter should look out onto the terrace more often, but when he's there he's very diligent. In the case of spare ribs, a cloth should be added to wipe the fingers off afterwards. There are so packaged little things. Food very good, the cole slaw tasted bland. maybe a little more vinegar or lemon. and pepper. The terrace with a view of the mountains and the lake is an absolute hit.

It doesn't always have to be steak ... I had a delicious salad with Chiemsee fish. Was just the thing in the warm weather. The service staff are quick and friendly. The tables are disinfected after each occupancy. Something like that gives a feeling of security. I can recommend this steak house ..

Definitely worth a visit! Very nice quiet location, right on the promenade. Everything was clean and very well maintained. Nice and friendly staff. Had the Maximilians burger and would order this again in a heartbeat. A real culinary delight and the homemade sauce is the icing on the cake. In general, all burgers are recommended here. I would recommend a reservation.

As always a very good restaurant to eat steak .. price performance very good. Our waitress Mario was very attentive and courteous. Since we came from Nuremberg to eat, we also got a dessert we ordered, a wonderful pistachio parfait as a greeting from the kitchen ... thank you very much ...

Steakhouse Maximilian This steakhouse is not far from the Chiemsee, the adjacent tree-lined avenue lets your eyes linger. A light and ginger ale. Food: Summer Bowl and a New York Burger 180g with French fries. The cool light quenches my thirst due to the heat. What would I expect today? The tension, or rather the anticipation, predominated. The waiter set the dishes. You immediately felt the old school, with the lady first, which, it seems to me, is getting more and more lost. New York burgers, celebrated on a narrow wooden board, French fries in a porcelain cup, they'll stay warm long enough. What a taste, my partner and I are simply delighted. For dessert, the young waiter Mario offered two spoons of chocolate soufflé. That was the icing on the cake for me to write this review. Thank you! I like to give 99 out of 100 points. Welcoming restaurants with great Burgers. It is also a very dog friendly place. Our dog even got her own little plate with dog treats. Very cute idea.

Excellent! The waiters were very nice, the tables clean and the toilets very hygienic. Cozy atmosphere and the room is very open. I felt very comfortable and welcome. The food was very tasty. Definitely a must.

Best steak by the Chiemsee

Excellent quality of food. Steak medium cooked as ordered. Tender and well seasoned. Sides nicely presented and tasty. The only minus besides the usual slow service in Germany was the Bavarian Weizen beer which came too warm and seemed to be the remainder of the barrel. The red wine (Italian Primitivo grape) however was very nice and balanced and served with the right temperature. Overall an excellent experience and a outstanding setting with direct Chiemsee lake view.

Recommendable! Spent 1 week there on vacation and went there more often. Very nice, friendly and courteous staff and a very good and delicious, also appetizing food. Everything from starters to desserts can be found here. Price-performance ratio is just great. Had we had several days we would have gone there more often. I can only recommend.

We enjoyed our dinner. The host kinda had an attitude. It was cute and made us laugh.

Recommended! Excellent, very fine beef (Steaks!), nice service team (slovakian hospitality & professionals!), fair (higher) prices. We enjoyed our meal, dessert and drinks a lot and will gladly return for sure. The location and ambiente are also a big feature, if you visit Prien am Chiemsee, pay a visit to this staeakhose.

Rude Service and cold food

Rib-eye and Wakyu burger were very nice. We were happy for the good service, especially with kids.

The food was amazing! Some of the best steak and fish I have have. The structure was beautiful, especially the old part of the building. The service was a bit slow and the prices were not cheep but very worth the visit.

Surf & Turf dish fantastic!

I sat outside in the sun looking out over lake Chiemsee with the Alps as a backdrop...stunning. For lunch I had Zander which was fresh from the lake and tasted excellent. I highly recommend and will definitely revisit.

Rude service and mediocre place. The ambience that so many mentioned, is attributed to the countless lights and glittery, partly overwhelming decor. As we entered the Restaurant, we weren't even greeted, let alone shown a table. The bored and granted, probably tired waiter, saw it fit to first answer the ringing phone, look at us without even uttering a greeting and take his time on the phone while completely ignoring us standing there. That behavior alone will make me never to visit the place again. Can't say anything about the food, because we only had a glass of wine and left immediately after. The star is for the location of the restaurant, as it is right on the shore of the lake.

Good steaks but very slow service

I almost didn't go to this restaurant as I thought the reviews are not so great but I am happy I decided to try it myself. The restaurant is super nice and the meat was very good in my view. The waiters made some mistakes (while still being SUPER nice), however since all our steaks were delicious I want to recommend it. The reviews and stars this restaurant have did not match my personal experience. I can recommend it :)

Very good food but a little slow to arrive.

Terrible burger, meat straight out the freezer, cheap bread, disgusting French fried. And expensive.

Superb meals!

Despite being a Steakhouse, I had some great vegetarian food here. My steak loving friends attest to the greatness of the meat, as well.

We went to this restaurant for a family brunch and all 12 of our party had violent food poisoning, we are still suffering with symptoms 1 month later I would not recommend this restaurant until a full health inquiry is carried out here.
